Surviving Winter with Dry Skin

Let’s face it, the winter season sucks. I used to love it as a kid because playing in the snow is fun, but now that I’m 22, it absolutely sucks. It’s too cold, dark and it dries out my skin. My skin is typically normal. It can be dry in some spots, and oily in my t-zone, but for the most part I’d say it’s pretty normal.

I’ve only noticed it this winter season, but my skin has become very dry. Maybe it’s the weather, or that I came off birth control, but whatever the reason, I am hating it. My skin has been dry to the point where it flakes. I know, gross.

I’ve slightly changed up my skin care routine for winter since my skin has become more dry than normal. I’m going to share my new routine with you, because I’m sure I can’t be the only one this happens to.

Day Time

Step 1 – wet face with cold water then use Clean & Clear Morning Burst Morning Burst Facial Scrub

Step 2 Clean & Clear Essentials Deep Cleaning Toner Sensitive Skin

Step 3 – Protini™ Polypeptide Cream – Drunk Elephant

Step 4 –Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream – Peter Thomas Roth

Night Time

Step 1 – If I have makeup on -> Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes & then Beste™ No. 9 Jelly Cleanser – Drunk Elephant (to make sure all makeup is really removed)

Step 2 – If not wearing any makeup -> Clean & Clear Night Relaxing Oil-Free Deep Cleaning Face Wash

Step 3 – Clean & Clear Essentials Deep Cleaning Toner Sensitive Skin

Step 4 – Aveeno Active Naturals Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer Lotion

Once or twice a week I will also use a face mask to deep clean into my pores
