When I saw the weather for this weekend was going to hit 70 degrees I knew I needed to plan some outdoor activities!
I’ve had a picnic basket for 2 years and have yet to use it, until now. Since we’re still on a stay at home order I couldn’t go to a park for a picnic, so I created one in my backyard and pretended I was in Europe. I even put “French Cafe Lounge” playlist on Spotify to set the mood.
This was actually super fun and deff something I’m always going to do. All you need is a blanket – I used an old bed sheet, a picnic basket or any kind of basket you have, and food of your choice! I chose some fruit, cheese, crackers and hummus! I even picked up some flowers because why not.
If you don’t have anything fancy it’s totally okay, make it your own thing! During this time, we have to do things that will make us happy and stay sane. This picnic definitely helped with that. Pretending I was in Europe at a park was a great escape and exactly what I needed right before finals week begins at school.
I hope this inspires you to have your own little picnic and spend time outside. Stay home, stay safe.
