Working out during the summer can be dreadful due to the heat, which is why I stick to my two favorites, walking and bike riding! This post is going to be all about why I love these two workouts for summer. Let’s get into it!
Walking, how basic right? I know, but it honestly is great cardio. I love taking walks before or after I eat dinner. I do this almost every night. It’s relaxing and calming. The best part is you can go at your own pace. You don’t have to walk for miles, just go for a little walk. My mom and I will walk for 20-30 minutes, just around our neighborhood and after we always feel so amazing. It’s a great way to end your day.
Riding a bike:
Another basic thing lol. I love riding my bike during the summer especially on a hot day, because you’ll burn more calories from all the sweat! Riding a bike is awesome cardio. My street has a lot of hills so it’s really great because of the extra push I need when going up the hills. Based on intensity, you can burn 300 or more calories riding a bike. Thats awesome! It’s also fun! Grab your friends/family and go for a bike ride around town, or just around the block a few times! You’ll definitely feel it in your legs the next day though.
These are the two summer workouts that I always opt for if the weather is nice and I’m not in the mood to go to the gym. I 100% recommend trying these out if you don’t already do them and you’ll feel and see a difference! I hope you enjoyed this post!
