FALLing For Corduroy

Fall is my favorite season for fashion. I love layering, wearing cozy sweaters, the crisp air, and obviously the colors (the best part). Nothing beats fall colors and fallen leaves. Corduroy has been around since the 1700s and was super popular during the 1960s and 1970s (Fashion Encyclopedia). It’s a great fabric for the fall and winter months because of the warmth it provides.

When I was a young girl, I would always wear corduroy especially on an overall, but I haven’t worn it since. I was shopping in Cotton On, when I came across their corduroy pieces and instantly fell in love. I am someone who loves to wear skirts in every season so when I found this corduroy skirt I knew I needed to have it. I love a good A line skirt. I think the fit is super flattering on everyone. This skirt is super comfortable, has the right amount of stretch, and is extremely cute (also comes in black corduroy).

To kick off the month of November, my boyfriend and I went on a little adventure. We went to Avalon Park and Preserve. It was absolutely beautiful, and in my opinion, looked like the scene from the Notebook when they’re on the boat with all the swans, but with a fall twist… Of course I wanted pictures so I decided to dress cute. I paired the skirt with a powder pink sweater (tucked in), and my riding boots. To dress it up a little more, I wore my pink and white tweed crossbody bag. I think this outfit is the cutest combination for fall, and also could be a great Thanksgiving outfit!
