Why Vision Boards Are Important

Vision Boards are extremely underrated sometimes. So this post is going to be about why I think Vision Boards are important. A vision board is a bunch of pictures, quotes, things that inspire you, put onto a board to help you remember your goals and stay focused on them. Vision boards can really be put on anything, in a journal, board, Microsoft word, dry erase board, anything you want to see your goals on.

I watch a bunch of YouTube videos and I came across a video about Vision Boards and I immediately felt inspired to make one. To be honest I was a little too lazy to go and buy a board and new magazines so I used my everyday journal and whatever magazines I had laying around my house. I’m actually extremely happy I put it in my journal. I write in it everyday and now I have easy access to my Vision Board and will always be able to look back at it! Here’s my vision board.

My vision board features fruit, nature, makeup, and quotes. These are very powerful quotes that I fell in love with…

“Imperfection is where it’s at.”,

“Create your own sunshine.”,

“Whatever makes you feel beautiful.”,

“There will be pain, there will be doubt, there will be beauty, there will be the unknown. There will be so many moments of joy and delight that the whole universe will feel painted in hues of amber and wonder. There will be times you are so sad you can’t lift your head and there will be times you are so happy that the sensation of life knocks you down but most importantly, there will be you.”

“If you’re good at social media, you’re gonna be successful.”

“Stop & smell the flowers.”

“there will be Fear. a lot of it. there will be Triumph. a lot of it. there will be constellations you want to reach for but can’t put your finger on. you will trace them like the Scars on your body you got from trouble and the times of your life. you will take the long way to get to these Orions. The Long Way will become a theme in your life, but a journey you learn to love.”

I think quotes on a vision board are super important. Maybe the most important part actually. Sometimes a quote from someone else is exactly what we needed to read/hear because we couldn’t say the words ourself.

Pictures on a vision board are the whole point really. On mine I have flowers (because I love them), strawberries & blueberries (my favs), a butterfly, etc. My vision board is more of a representation of my mind than goals. Which is totally fine. That’s what makes it unique to me.

Vision Boards are a representation of you, your future, your goals, thoughts, aspirations. I think they’re super important to have/make. It’s good to see a visual representation of these things. Most people are visual learners so seeing your goals, thoughts, etc is very beneficial and you will actually appreciate and reach them quicker than if they were only in the back of your head. They’re also extremely fun to make! So grab your friends, mom, family, yourself & make a vision board!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks for tuning in. If you make you’re own Vision Board send me a picture of it through social media I’d love to see!

Hello loves! My name is Theresa Marie. I am a 21 year old college student, living in NY. I love iced lattes, animals, the fall and winter seasons, fashion, beauty, diys and food!
I started this blog in January of 2017 so that I can share the things I love and have a place for my passion of writing. Theresa Marie Daily (TMD), is a place of comfort, where you can come for recipes, beauty tips/favorites, see my personal style, fashion tips, lifestyle tips/tricks, diys, and other miscellaneous posts. I have a category called “Talks With Theresa Marie” (TWTM), where each month, I post about an occurring issue, or something random that I just feel like talking about, and I give my opinion/view on it. TWTM, gives you a personal insight on who I am and my beliefs/opinions on certain things. I hope to inspire each and every one of you to go outside the box with your food, lifestyle and personal style, and just enjoy life. Thank you so much for following along and reading!

I’ve never made an inspiration board, but this posts makes me want to try! I’d love to make one full of inspiration and motivation for grad school (I start in T-minus one month!), where I’ll be earning an MFA in Creative nonfiction 🙂
