I honestly think it’s harder to stay healthy during the summer than in the colder seasons. Maybe it’s just me, but when I’m in school it’s easier for me to pack lunches and healthy meals. During the summer, I’m home and cannot meal prep so I make whatever I feel like eating, and sometimes that can lead to me eating the wrong things. I’ve recently discovered these healthy snacks that I wanted to share with you all! You can 100% eat these snacks all year round and not just during summer, but I personally don’t eat as much fruit during the other seasons like I do during summer, which is why I call these “Healthy Summer Snacks.” I hope you enjoy them! Let’s get into it!
What You’ll Need:
- Dark Chocolate
- Reddi Wip
This is by far the easiest snack to make! I absolutely love blueberries so much! One of the only fruits I will actually eat all year. For this snack simply take as many blueberries as you want, put them in a container and throw them in the freezer! Frozen blueberries resemble a candy so it’s like you’re cheating on your diet, but you really aren’t!
Chocolate Covered Bananas + Halos:
Bananas are another favorite of mine and well who doesn’t like a citrus fruit?! + Chocolate = OMG. These chocolate covered bananas + halos are amazing! Feel free to use milk chocolate, I prefer dark chocolate because of the health benefits and the richer taste. For this snack, slice open your halos and take the skin off your bananas. You can either cut the bananas into slices or leave it whole (I prefer to slice them). Heat up as much chocolate as you think you need (I usually do 1/2 cup or less depending on how many slices I am making) and dip your bananas and halos into the chocolate, covering them half way or completely. Put them onto a dish or in a container and place them in the fridge for the chocolate to harden! This is a perfect dessert if you’re a chocolate lover!
Cucumber, Strawberry, Whip Cream Boats:
This is the most refreshing snack! The refreshing taste of the cucumber, mixed with the sweetness of the strawberries and light taste of the whip cream is to die for! These are super easy to make and will definitely be one of your favorites! For this snack, take your cucumber and slice it into as many slices as you would like. Then slice your strawberries to the same size as your cucumbers (You’ll see in the picture). Finally, add a little bit of whip cream on top of the strawberry and there’s your snack! Super delicious!
Well that’s all my snack ideas! I really hope you enjoyed this post! If you recreate any of these snacks let me know what you think of them!
