Halloween Treats

Whoohooo it’s Halloween time! This is such a fun holiday, especially when it comes to desert! I am attending a Halloween party today so I made some treats to bring along with me and I thought I would make a blog post to share them with you all! Let’s get into the fun!

Marshmallow Frankenstein Heads

What You’ll Need:

  • Marshmallows
  • Green Candy Melts
  • Chocolate Candy Melts
  • Mini Pretzel Sticks
  • Red Icing
  • Black Icing
  • Candy Eyes
  • Sticks to display marshmallow on
  • Bowls to melt candy melts
  • Parchment Paper + Cookie Sheet

What To Do:

  1. Melt your green candy melts in the microwave for 2 minutes (1 minute – stir – 1 minute)
  2. Place your sticks into the marshmallows.
  3. Cover marshmallow with green candy melt, let dry completely, at most 30 minutes.
  4. Melt your chocolate candy melts in the microwave for 2 minutes (1 minute – stir – 1 minute)
  5. Drop the top of the marshmallow into the chocolate candy melt, take an extra straw and rub the chocolate (in the front) in a downward motion (very lightly) Let dry completely, at most 30 minutes.
  6. Gently shove the pretzel (you may have to break it into smaller pieces) into the sides of the marshmallow (the marshmallow/candy melt, may crack a little so be gentle).
  7. Draw on the mouth with your black icing. Place 2 dots of icing where the eyes will go, then place the eyes on, making sure they stick.
  8. Take your red icing and draw on the scar.
  9. Let dry on parchment paper over night.

Pumpkin Candy Pretzels

What You’ll Need:

  • Mini pretzels (salted or unsalted)
  • Green M&Ms
  • Orange Candy Melts
  • Bowl to melt candy melt
  • Carving Fork or something that will help dip the pretzel in chocolate without getting your fingers dirty
  • Parchment Paper + Cookie Sheet

What To Do:

  1. Melt your orange candy melts in the microwave for 2 minutes (1 minute – stir – 1 minute).
  2. Using your carving fork, place the pretzel into the candy melt, covering it completely.
  3. Place your pretzel onto the cookie sheet with the parchment paper and apply the green M&M to the top of the pretzel, as the stem of the pumpkin.
  4. Let dry on parchment paper over night.

Skelton Oreos

What You’ll Need:

  • White Candy Melts
  • Black icing
  • Oreos
  • Parchment Paper + Cookie Sheet

What To Do:

  1. Melt your white candy melts in the microwave for 2 minutes (1 minute – stir – 1 minute).
  2. Dip the full Oreo into the candy melt to cover completely.
  3. Place onto cookie sheet with the parchment paper to dry completely, at most 30 minutes.
  4. Take your icing and draw on the face of the Skelton.
  5. Let dry overnight.
