Benefits of Fruit Smoothies

I am someone who loves fruit, all kinds too. Sometimes though, I’m too lazy to cut it up and eat so lately I’ve been making a fruit smoothie! They’re easy, healthy, and super yummy. I love fruit, but for some reason if I eat fruit for breakfast I feel nauseous and really sick. The solution to my problem has been a fruit smoothie! In this post, I’m going to share my favorite fruit smoothie recipe, and the Benefits of Fruit Smoothies and why you should have them!

Strawberry, Banana, Almond Milk:

There really is no measurements for this, I kind’ve just throw everything into my ninja until it’s full. If I had measurements they would probably be this:

  • 4 cubes of ice
  • 4-6 strawberries (cut the leafy top off)
  • 1-2 medium bananas or 1 big one
  • 1/2 cup to 1 cup of Vanilla Almond Milk

Just throw everything into your blender or ninja and pour into a glass when finished! Strawberry + Banana is my absolute favorite mix for a fruit smoothie!

Since we’re talking about fruit, I thought I’d share some benefits of my favorite fruits!

Apples:

  • antioxidants
  • fiber
  • reduce risk of developing cancer, hypertension, and diabetes
  • Vitamin C, A

Bananas:

  • potassium, calcium, manganese, magnesium, iron, folate, niacin, riboflavin, and B6.
  • reduce chance of getting a muscle cramp after a workout
  • support healthy digestion
  • prebiotic – healthy bacteria in bowel

Blueberries:

  • antioxidants
  • support healthy digestion
  • aid in weight loss
  • promote healthy skin
  • vitamin K

Strawberries:

  • vitamin C & A, potassium
  • fiber
  • support strong bones
  • biotin – strong hair, skin and nails
